It is a self-sponsored graduation project featuring an easy-to-use interface, designed to help users book appointments with art therapists according to their preferences, engage in self-guided exercises, and connect with online communities using the latest technology.

Exhale provides a safe space for everyone to explore mental health and well-being with different types of art therapy and community support, ensuring identity protection for all users.

The use of artistic methods to treat psychological disorders and enhance mental health is known as art&nbsp;therapy. Art therapy is a technique rooted in the idea&nbsp;that creative expression can foster healing and mental&nbsp;well-being.

One of the strengths of art therapy is its ability to&nbsp;provide a non-verbal means of communication,&nbsp;allowing individuals to convey complex feelings and&nbsp;experiences that may be challenging to express&nbsp;verbally.

Art therapy is a valuable therapeutic tool because it offers a unique way for individuals to explore and express their feelings in a non-verbal manner. This is particularly beneficial for those who find traditional talk therapy challenging or insufficient.

Art therapy can be beneficial for a broad spectrum. It is often used as a supplementary treatment for major mental health disorders, enhancing traditional therapy approaches.&nbsp;By providing a creative outlet for expression and&nbsp;self-exploration, it helps individuals process and&nbsp;articulate complex emotions and thoughts in a&nbsp;non-verbal way.

During research, I used surveys to gather&nbsp;data from different groups and individuals currently in&nbsp;therapy. My goal was to identify common challenges&nbsp;and frustrations they face and to understand patterns in their experiences through statistical analysis.

Instagram poll insights helped understand user perspectives on mental well-being and art therapy, guiding Exhale’s feature development for a more supportive experience.

After gathering insights from an Instagram poll on art therapy, a closed-group survey was conducted for deeper perspectives. This exploration helps refine support systems and interventions for mental well-being.

Many people are facing mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, etc in and often hesitating to seek professional help due to societal taboos. Recognising this need for accessible solutions, our digital product employs art therapy, developed in consultation with professional art therapists.

A digital product serves as the ideal solution, offering accessibility across mobile phones, tablets, and web browsers. Its responsive design adapts to various screen sizes, ensuring a seamless user experience and convenient support anytime, anywhere.

A preliminary manual feature list guided the process, refined through development and feedback. This ensures effective planning and alignment with user expectations.

Designed for ease of use, these screens provide guided exercises, mindfulness activities, and art therapy techniques to support mental well-being. With step-by-step guidance, users can engage in self-care at their own pace, anytime and anywhere.

The AI chatbot serves as a 24/7 supportive companion, assisting users with mindfulness exercises, therapy guidance, and self-help resources. Designed to offer instant support, it also provides help during emergencies, ensuring users always have someone to turn to.

Exhale: Digital Art Therapy Product

This case study explores the design and development of Ezy Shop, a mobile application designed to enhance the supermarket shopping experience for individuals aged 18 to 40. The app addresses common challenges such as confusing store layouts, stock uncertainties, and long checkout lines, ensuring a smoother and more efficient shopping experience.

Shoppers expressed frustration with unclear store layouts, difficulty locating items, uncertainty about product availability, and long checkout queues. These problems led to dissatisfaction and potentially lost sales. Addressing these pain points was crucial to enhance the shopping experience and boost customer loyalty.

A user-centered, visually appealing, and easy-to-use UI/UX was designed to address common pain points, such as confusing store layouts, stock uncertainties, and lengthy checkout lines. The app enhances in-store navigation, provides real-time stock updates, offers a convenient self-checkout option, and significantly reduces wait times, ensuring a seamless shopping journey.

During competitor analysis,  discovered two competitors in the market. After researching and analysing their offerings, target audience, and market positioning, I identified gaps and opportunities to better serve our users.

After completing the competitor analysis, I interviewed people from different age groups to understand the challenges and frustrations they face during grocery shopping. I also observed their shopping processes for deeper insights.

Quantitative research was crucial for Ezy Shop. I studied data from 60 people, learning about their problems and preferences. This data-driven approach helped us make decisions to meet target audience's specific needs.

Conducted user interviews to understand their shopping habits and frustrations.  Surveys provided quantitative data on frequency of issues, and usability testing of prototypes helped identify areas for improvement.  Based on the data, created user personas representing our target demographic, highlighting their needs and preferences.  Competitive analysis of existing supermarket apps informed our design choices.

Elevate your shopping experience with AR navigation, quick self-checkout, ingredient scanning for meal planning, real-time stock updates, and personalized lists. The ideation phase involved brainstorming, sketching features, and exploring AR navigation, self-checkout, and recipe integration. User feedback played a key role in refining these concepts for a seamless and intuitive experience.

Started with low-fidelity wireframes to map out the app's information architecture and user flows. These were iteratively refined based on feedback.

A major challenge was seamlessly integrating AR navigation while ensuring an intuitive and smooth user experience. The focus was on making the feature practical and user-friendly within the app.

This project enhanced my understanding of UX/UI design principles and the value of user-centered design. It allowed me to explore AR integration conceptually and refine my approach to iterative design. If revisited, I would consider incorporating VR for a more immersive shopping experience.

Ezy Shop successfully addressed key pain points in the supermarket shopping experience.  The app's design has the potential to significantly improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.  Future plans include expanding the app’s functionality with features like personalised recommendations, loyalty programs, and potential integration with home delivery services.
